Ever wondered how it would feel to be on the other side of the Saint Row games? If so, you should definitely try out Destroy all humans. Filled with fun no-brainer gameplay and hilarious puns, Destroy all humans brings back an old cult-classic as it should be done. You play as an evil alien on earth in the 50’s were you have to harvest human DNA and bring the American government to its knees. To accomplish this you have an arsenal of alien weapons and vehicles at your disposal, and oh boy are they fun.
Gameplay-wise, it is an all-round good game. You can approach levels in different ways and the goals you have to fulfill are clearly indicated. The game is filled with a ton of hidden gems and item upgrades. If we take a look at the remade graphics and sound, there is not much to say. It is remade. The graphics and sound are better than the original game, but not to say on high standards (not that it was intended to). The lack of variation on game characters was something that irritated us mildly but no that it was game-breaking. The story was easy and fun to follow. After every mission, they give you a newspaper showing what happened and filled with “outdated” jokes about communism and world war 2. Maybe even Trump would love it as fake news is also a thing.
- Fun and easy gameplay
- A good amount of jokes
- Overall good remake
- Lack of variety in characters
